Here are Wednesday’s minor moves:
Arizona Cardinals
Designated for return from IR: S Kitan Crawford
Signed from practice squad: TE Shawn Bowman
Cleveland Browns
Designated for return from IR: RB Dylan Sampson
Green Bay Packers
Designated for return from PUP: DL Jordon Riley
Houston Texans
Practice window opened: S Ja’Marcus Ingram
Los Angeles Rams
Designated for return: T Keagen Trost
A Riley return to practice will not lead to the Packers using one of their injury activations, since the defensive lineman is on the reserve/PUP list. The Texans already have Ingram’s return factored into their IR activation puzzle, having designated the DB to return August 30. The Crawford, Sampson and Trost moves are standard IR-return transactions. All three would count against their teams’ activation totals if activated over the next 21 days.
The Rams drafted Trost in the third round out of Missouri but saw him suffer a hamstring injury during the runup to the season. Los Angeles, which will be without left tackle starter Alaric Jackson for a game due to a suspension, is planning to start David Quessenberry in Week 6. Trost could become an insurance option soon, as Quessenberry — for now, at least — is the only available LT option on L.A.’s active roster.
