Ravens Agree To Restructures With DT Broderick Washington, G Andrew Vorhees

Broderick Washington has previously been floated as a candidate to be let go during roster cuts this summer. The veteran defensive tackle is assured of at least one more season in Baltimore, however.
Michael Ginnitti of Spotrac notes Washington has agreed to a new one-year deal. The 29-year-old is now set to collect $2MM fully guaranteed for 2026, including a $750K signing bonus. Another $250K is available via incentives. Washington’s cap charge has been lowered to $3.85MM by the move.
A regular presence along the defensive interior beginning in 2022, Washington was in position to continue serving as a key figure last season. An ankle injury resulted in a move to injured reserve in September, though, and he wound up making only three appearances in 2025. It therefore would have come as little surprise if the Ravens had elected to cut Washington this spring as a result, but instead a pay cut agreement has been worked out.
Washington – who landed an extension ahead of the final season of his rookie contract – will look to remain healthy in 2026 given the importance of doing so relative to his market next year. He will join returnees Nnamdi Madubuike, Travis Jones and John Jenkins along the defensive interior. Baltimore also reunited with Calais Campbell in free agency and selected Rayshaun Benny in the seventh round of the draft. Washington will spend training camp looking to carve out a rotational role within new head coach Jesse Minter‘s defensive scheme.
Guard Andrew Vorhees has also agreed to a reworked contract, per Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic. 2026 represents the final year of his rookie contract, and he too will spend the year as a pending free agent at a reduced rate. This restructure has also opened up short-term financial breathing room for the Ravens as the team (like all others) considers roster additions deep into free agency. Vorhees operated as a full-time starter at left guard last season, but he is positioned to operate as a backup to John Simpson this year.
The Washington restructure created roughly $2MM in cap space, and Vorhees’ rework will also give the Ravens additional room to maneuver. Over the Cap now lists Baltimore with $16.37MM in space, which sits mid-pack in the NFL.
